Understanding the Networks

FBI tracking data confirms the full scope. In FY2020, approximately 180 domestic terrorism subjects were arrested nationally. By FY2021 that number exploded to 800. Open FBI domestic terrorism investigations grew by 357 percent between 2013 and 2021. The warning signs were documented. The radicalization pathways were charted. The question was whether anyone was paying attention.

They wore gas masks and respirators. They dressed in all black. They covered every identifiable feature with practiced precision. Not because they feared tear gas — but because they didn't want to be found.
This is who is operating inside the United States of America right now. Not foreign agents. Not ISIS sleeper cells. American citizens. People who grew up here, went to school here, and made a deliberate decision to wage war — against law enforcement, against conservative voices, against the rule of law itself.
What you are about to read is not opinion. It is not political commentary. It is a documented, sourced, evidence-based accounting of a movement that has produced assassinations, ambushes on federal facilities, bombings, arson campaigns, and a body count — assembled from FBI reports, congressional investigations, federal court documents, and the 2026 U.S. Counterterrorism Strategy signed by President Trump.
The George Washington University's Program on Extremism — funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security — spent years studying these groups and came to a conclusion most media refused to publish: Anarchist Violent Extremists (AVEs) were among the groups "presenting the greatest threats of violence" in the United States between 2015 and 2019. That was before the arson. Before the ambushes. Before the assassination of Charlie Kirk on a university stage.
They were right. And now the federal government has made it official for the first time in American history.
The DHS-funded GWU research identified three accelerating trends driving the movement toward lethality: the adoption of accelerationist ideology — using violence to collapse society; reciprocal radicalization, where left-wing extremists escalate in direct response to right-wing activity; and the growing willingness of individual actors to plan mass-casualty events against law enforcement and political opponents. Every prediction has now been validated on American soil.

Masked and coordinated: domestic extremists photographed during organized street operations. Gas masks, respirators, goggles, and full face coverings are standard-issue tactical doctrine — not personal protective equipment. The GWU Program on Extremism confirmed these groups train for specific roles including arson, crowd control defeat, and targeted assault on law enforcement. The concealment is deliberate. The coordination is planned. The FBI formally classifies this behavior as consistent with anarchist violent extremist (AVE) mobilization patterns.
"Violence committed by AVEs was largely locally organized, event-driven, and opportunistic. However, individual AVEs also planned mass-casualty terrorist attacks, predominantly against law enforcement, private property, and those they associate with opposing extremist groups."
— DHS-Funded GWU Program on Extremism, November 2021
Joshua Jahn was 29 years old. He drove to a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility in Dallas, Texas, armed with a bolt-action rifle and a message written directly on his ammunition in blue ink: "ANTI-ICE."
He opened fire. One detainee was killed. Two others were critically wounded. Jahn died of a self-inflicted wound at the scene. Federal officials formally classified the attack as politically motivated and designated Jahn a violent left-wing extremist targeting border enforcement.
The New York Post's front page the following morning said what mainstream media refused to: "After months of Democrats calling ICE 'Nazis,' crazed shooter targets them — but kills a migrant." The person who died wasn't a federal agent. It was the very population Jahn claimed to defend. The rhetoric was not harmless. The result was a corpse.
Three months earlier, on July 4, 2025, a group of 10 to 12 individuals used fireworks to lure ICE personnel outside a facility in Alvarado, Texas. When officers exited, they were ambushed — between 20 and 30 rounds fired at unarmed corrections officers. A responding police officer was shot. Search warrants uncovered body armor, firearms, and materials bearing: "Fight ICE terror with class war."
New York Post, September 25, 2025: "LEFT HATE LEADS TO MURDER — After months of Dems calling ICE 'Nazis,' crazed shooter targets them — but kills a migrant." Joshua Jahn, 29, fired on a Dallas ICE facility with bullets inscribed "ANTI-ICE." The victim was a migrant detainee — the very population Jahn claimed to protect. The irony is lethal. The rhetoric has consequences.
The summer of 2020 produced a number most Americans still don't know: $2 billion in property damage across American cities — the most expensive civil unrest in U.S. history. Dozens died. Officers were injured by the thousands. Communities — predominantly minority communities — watched their neighborhoods burn.
In Portland, Oregon, federal agents inside the Hatfield Federal Courthouse were besieged for over 100 consecutive days. Rioters attempted to set it on fire while federal officers were inside. Protesters arrived equipped with gas masks, leaf blowers to redirect tear gas, and umbrellas to deflect less-lethal munitions. That level of tactical preparation is trained. It is coordinated. And it is documented in congressional testimony on record.
A vehicle engulfed in flames on a Los Angeles street. Los Angeles City Hall is visible in the background. Property destruction during organized extremist activity is a documented tactical instrument — not a spontaneous outcome.
NYPD Strategic Response Group officers execute mass arrests during violent protest operations in New York City. The organized resistance and coordinated obstruction is consistent with trained AVE tactical doctrine documented by the FBI and DHS.
"The political violence that occurred in Portland — and elsewhere throughout the country — during the summer of 2020 was disgraceful, and it should never happen again."
— Scott Erickson, Former DHS Deputy Chief of Staff · Congressional Testimony, May 2023
Universities are documented primary radicalization environments where black bloc tactics are trained and the line between lawful assembly and coordinated violence is deliberately blurred by organizers who know exactly what they are doing. Austin Police and Texas State Troopers deployed in full tactical formation. The GWU research confirms campus environments are the most consistent incubators of individual-level radicalization to violence within the AVE movement in the U.S.
These are not anonymous. They have names. They have faces. They have charges, conviction records, and in at least one case, a death sentence waiting. They are the documented human product of a radicalization pipeline that the federal government spent years either dismissing or refusing to name — until now.
Federal agents execute an apprehension operation. Enforcement posture intensified dramatically after AG Pam Bondi's December 2025 directive ordered all agencies to transfer Antifa intelligence files directly to the FBI for prosecution targeting.
Law enforcement advances in riot formation through tear gas. The scale of coordinated response — full tactical gear, baton lines, gas deployment — reflects the organized and trained nature of the threat they are confronting on American streets in 2025–2026.
Fires from a rooftop during a Trump campaign rally with an AR-15-style rifle. One attendee — Corey Comperatore — killed. Two others critically injured. Trump's right ear grazed. Crooks neutralized by Secret Service countersnipers within seconds. FBI investigation confirms disaffected, radicalized profile.
Apprehended by Secret Service with an AK-47-style rifle, ceramic body armor, and a camera positioned in the treeline adjacent to Trump International Golf Club. Had been in position for several hours. Sentenced to life in federal prison in early 2026. Cited directly in the 2026 ODNI Annual Threat Assessment.
Assassinates Charlie Kirk — conservative activist, Turning Point USA founder, Trump ally — with a single bullet during a speaking event at Utah Valley University. Multi-day manhunt. Robinson confesses to a family member and surrenders. Currently charged with murder, facing death penalty. The 2026 U.S. Counterterrorism Strategy specifically references politically motivated killings of conservatives.
Crashes a vehicle into the Mar-a-Lago security perimeter while armed with a shotgun and gas canister. Shot and killed by Secret Service. Extremist material recovered from residence. Federal booking photographs withheld pending proceedings.
Opens fire with a shotgun at a security checkpoint at the Washington Hilton during Correspondents' Dinner weekend. Target: President Trump and senior administration officials. Charged with attempted assassination of the President of the United States. Pleads not guilty. Federal trial pending.
Shot and apprehended by Secret Service outside the White House complex while armed and aggressively attempting to bypass multiple security entry points. Third armed engagement at or near executive grounds within four months. Federal trial pending.
The 2026 U.S. Counterterrorism Strategy — signed by President Trump — names three categories of threat: narcoterrorists, legacy Islamist terrorists, and "Violent Left-Wing Extremists, including Anarchists and Anti-Fascists." For the first time in American history, all three appear under the same enforcement priority in a White House strategy document.
Attorney General Pam Bondi's December 2025 directive ordered every federal agency to transfer intelligence files on Antifa and related far-left networks directly to the FBI for prosecution targeting. The House Homeland Security Committee confirmed: from January–August 2025, far-left ideology accounted for 61 percent of all global antisemitism incidents recorded. Global antisemitism hit a three-year record of 6,326 incidents in 2024.
The DHS-funded research from George Washington University warned years ago that this moment was coming. The radicalization pathways were documented. The escalation trends were charted. The potential for mass-casualty violence was forecast with precision.
No Filter America is paying attention. And now, so are you.
"If you hurt Americans, or are planning to hurt Americans — We Will Find You and We Will Kill You."
— President Donald J. Trump · U.S. Counterterrorism Strategy, May 2026
